Firstly, if possible, avoid carpeting as it easily traps in clumps of hair, fur and the bacteria too. In case, you can’t avoid, make sure to clean up your carpets professionally after every two months. Try to install flooring materials that are easy to maintain and clean like hardwood, concrete, stone, vinyl or ceramic tiles.
Avoid both the too dark or too light fabrics since they will show u the stains and pet hair very easily. Stick to neutral tinted durable ones and here you have to follow a regular cleaning service. Feel leather would be a good upholstery solution here as these are impervious to odors and gets wiped easily. Re-paint the walls with egg-shell or satin paints as they are smoother to clean up. Lastly, keep all your delicate collectibles shelved and out of the pets’ reach.
