Transferring the Property Survey
Introduction
A formal evaluation of the real estate property is called property survey.
Instructions
1. Get in touch with the seller of the property. Get to know if he has done a latest survey on the home, which is done within the period of six to 12 months. Check his willingness to provide you, a cop of the survey.
2. Get in touch with your title company. Call the representative working on your file. Tell him that the seller is having a survey of the property along with the date of completion of survey. Find out if this survey is acceptable instead of you to get a new survey.
3. Get the deal verified with your mortgage company. It is the decision of the loan officer as to whether or not the transfer of the survey from the seller to the buyer is allowed. Sometimes the transfer is not possible if the survey is from the previous year.
